I have successfully arrived at my destination in California. The journey was quite an adventure, but I am glad that I can finally dock at dry ground. I am finally able to relax and rest after the 3 days we spent on the road.
The scenery all around me is so beautiful here. It is almost like I’m in an exotic paradise. From the palm trees to the beautiful bushes and flowers, even the buildings are beautiful. Unfortunately my camera decided to quit working just before I left, so I cannot show any scenery to you all just yet. But I will see if I can fix it, and if not, I will buy a new one and then share the marvelous sights with everyone.
A scary but exciting thing happened to me while I was driving through the Arizona desert yesterday. There was a bad thunderstorm that rolled into our area and I could see lightning striking everywhere all around me. It had just begun to rain fairly moderately when all of a sudden a loud crashing sound thundered next to my car. I immediately looked over to see lightning strike the ground just feet from my car and a shower of sparks pop and sizzle on the wet pavement. It all happened so fast and the shock it made me nearly lose control, but the Lord was with me and He got me through it. Not long after it began raining so hard that I could barely se the red lights of the people in front of me. I didn’t really feel like taking my chances with the lightning or the low visibility, so me and my dad pulled over at the first gas station we found. The nice thing that came from the thunderstorm was extremely cool weather in the Arizona desert.
All-in-all, the trip was a success and surprisingly without troubles. My car was a real champ on the trip, and I’ll have to remember to give it a kiss later. This trip was really a bonding experience for my and my car. He just made me so proud. I didn’t know he had it in him.
Well, that’s all I have to say for now. I’m going to go get some R&R now. I’ll have much more to tell you all later though, and hopefully pictures too. I thank everyone for all there prayers.
Glad you made it safe. Good luck with the next chapter of your life.
Just checking in to say hello and see what was new. thinking of you and praying for you. Sandy
