My first week in college was an experience to say the least. I can think of very few positive things that happened during the entire week, until Friday. Day after day I seemed to run into problem after problem – from a class being canceled to finding out my Java Programming class is half online and half on campus. But On Friday, things started to change for the better. I sat down with an adviser that actually was helpful for a change, and together we found all the classes I could still get into and I made a schedule that actually seems reasonable.

As far as other things that are going on, I’ve been doing a lot of walking around town. There is this awesome hill in the neighborhood behind where I live that I’ve struggled up a time or two. It is quite a climb, but when I got to the top, there was an amazing view. I got a halfway decent shot at the top. I’ll post the link at the end of this posting.

Today I went to Saddleback Church. That is Rick Warren’s church – the same guy that wrote The Purpose Driven Life and other spin-offs. Unfortunately, Rick Warren is just one of a handful of pastors there, so I didn’t get to here Rick speak. But the preacher I did hear was very good. I’d like to go again in the next couple of weeks for one, I want to here Rick Warren speak, and two the church is so beautiful, I’ve just got to get some pictures of it. I think next week I’m going to Ravi Zacharias’ church.
