I have switched my blog to a new host. I am now a member of Wordpress.org. As a result, the look of my blog has changed. But as you have probably figured out by now, the site is still davidbradley.org. Let me know what you think of the new look. I am still tweaking a few things here and there. Also, please update your bookmarks if it is still linking to the old blog address. But besides a different look and a different host, this blog is still here for the same purpose. It is still the public journal of my life and my thoughts. And I will still share my video and photography with you all.

One slightly exciting thing that happened to me last week was that I won a Geography contest, and as a result won this really neat Globe that you see below. The strangest thing is that I didn’t even try to win. I went to a geography class because it was free extra credit for my US History class. When I got there, they gave me a quiz, and I did not know a single answer on it. After the class was over, I was on the edge of my seat, ready to get out of there and go home, and then they called my name. I was surprised to say the least. But it was a pleasant surprise.

Over the weekend, my mom and I ordered airline tickets for my Christmas break; we got a really good deal. Yes, that’s right, I am officially coming to Belleville for Christmas. I’m really looking forward to it. Out of everyone I’ve missed since I came to California, I’m most excited about seeing my little brother and sister. I hope that does not offend any other parties reading this. It is just a fact, and I think it is an understandable fact too. But I am very excited about seeing everyone else too. It is, however, a month away, so I still have a bit of a wait before that time comes.

Tonight, my dad and I are going to the store to buy ingredients for Thanksgiving. He is making a Turkey and baked beans and I think stuffing. There may be more, I don’t know. I am going to make two deserts (which I will not so much as taste) and potatoes for myself. My dad is having a couple families over from his job, and they will bring food to. So it should be a full house here for Thanksgiving. I’ll try to take pictures if possible.

There is one more new thing I feel the need to share. Last Wednesday was the first meeting of the Men’s Bible Study at church. There were six men there for the first week, and there should be more men this upcoming week. Since it was the first week, we first had to decide which book we would study, and after that, we all took turns sharing our testimonies. It was both scary and exciting for me. I really hate to be the center of attention in a crowd, but it is exciting to step out of my comfort zone because I know that is the only way I’ll learn and grow. I will let you know how I do when it’s my turn to present the Bible Study. Yes, we are all going to take turns presenting the Book of Malachi each week. I’ll need a lot of prayer when my turn comes. :-)
