My first Thanksgiving in California was a blast! My Thanksgiving celebration started last Tuesday after I got off of work. My dad, myself and his wife all went to the grociery store to buy ingredients for the different types of food we planned to prepare. On Wednessday, I had my last test before the finals in US History. I really feel like I did a good job, but I must wait till Monday to find out. Anyway, after class I went straight home and started getting to work on my Pumpkin Bars with Cream Cheese Icing. When that was finished, I left for my weekly Men’s Bible study.
That same evening, when I returned home, I began to prepare what my dad said was the best desert in the whole world, Maggie’s Decadent Brownies. I took his word that they were good. Maybe I’ll make them for Christmas to share with some of you. Well, the following day was thanksgiving, and my dad started roasting the turkey while I made a couple more dishes.
