It’s been quite a while since I’ve written to update everyone on what’s been happening here at tech school. I have to say that my stay here has been pretty uneventful. School itself is easy. The hardest thing for me is making that 100% instead of a 97%. Then there is the free time. The weekends are sometimes rather drawn out and boring, simply because there is not a whole lot to do in Mississippi. Biloxi is the city just outside of Keesler, and I get the feeling it has always been a pretty poor State, but I think it has gotten worse since it was ransacked by Hurricane Katrina. A lot of places are still rebuilding, and a lot of stuff is just abandoned or being torn down. Although if your a big gambler, there are a lot of Casinos around for you.
But the good news is I’m getting out of here soon. I’m going to Ft. Gordon in Georgia. I’ll be fairly close to Atlanta and I think there will be more to do there. I’ve really enjoyed Keesler though, but I’m ready for some change.
