Well, this week I went out and bought a new car. My old car was a 1991 Toyota Tercel, and it broke down just before I left for Basic Training in January. I was originally thinking I would get it fixed and drive it back to my first base in Illinois. But there were several issues that caused me to change my mind. For one, the car was almost 20 years old and there was no telling what else might go wrong in the near future. And I also wasn’t sure whether it would survive a second cross country trip. Another issue I faced was that when my aunt gave me the car a few years ago, I never initiated the process to get the title put into my own name. So I faced the problem that my license plate stickers and registration were expired, and I had no way to get new ones unless I went through my aunt every time. So all these things prompted me to purchase a new car.
Now what car was I going to get? I wanted something reliable, something with good reviews, and something that would last me for 10+ years, because I don’t plan on buying again for quite a while. And the most important factor of all, I wanted something at a reasonable price. So I had been considering it for the past few weeks and looking at various online reviews, and I decided I wanted a Toyota Corolla. Mainly because my previous car was a Toyota, and it lasted a long time. Well, I graduated from Tech School, and I came to visit my Dad in California, and my decision changed over night. My dad and his good friend showed me the new Honda Civic and all the features it had and I fell in love with it. So once I knew what I knew what I wanted, we went shopping. After a couple days of shopping and haggling, I was able to get a 2007 Honda Civic Coupe at invoice price. And now that I’m driving the car, I couldn’t be happier with my decision.
You’ll be arriving Belleville in style.
Nice!! Black is the best color too.
