I have never been more disappointed with my representation in Congress before. We were promised change we could believe in, but the only change we’ve seen is more federal debt and even bigger government. I’m disgusted. Why is it that the same people that called for Bush’s impeachment for his abuse of the executive powers, seem to have no problem with Obama’s expansion of federal government. I’m personally fed up.
Every American must raise their voices up in protest now while it is still allowed. Don’t take our constitutional rights for granted, because much blood was spent to earn them, if they are taken away, blood will have to be shed again to gain them back. We must not let it come to that. Act today and protest the outrage that is taking place in Washington.
I can’t believe how fast time has flown. Jason will be six months old on the 28th of this month. and he has changed dramatically since the last time I updated this blog. Check out my photo album for all the latest pics of him. While I don’t update the posts on my blog very often, I always keep my photo album updated.

Jason Christian Bradley was born at the bright and early time of 7:10 AM on August the 28, 2009. He weighed in at a whopping 8 lbs and 6 oz and he was a giant-sized 21 inches long. Alaina was a super-trooper, opting for a natural birth. It was a decision I supported all the way through, and she successfully accomplished it like a champ! I have a new-found respect for her sheer strength. Here Alaina and I sit, finishing our stay at the hospital, and our newly discovered parenthood is slowly sinking in. I will have photos and videos to upload as soon as we get home, but for the time being, I have this one single picture that my sister was kind enough to upload for me. He is a handsome devil isn’t he?

Baby is still not here. Alaina and I are getting just a little bit impatient. But we know he is doing very well, so we remain joyful nonetheless. This past week, I found out that I will be doing Honor Guard for the next four months, at least. In case you don’t know what that is, we will be the one presenting honors to those fallen veterans that have served their country faithfully. I have mixed emotions about this assignment. But I know it will be a blessing in the long run. I just hope I don’t miss any important moments with my boy.
By the way, we have finished doing the baby’s room. Now all we need is the baby. We will post pictures at a later time. I can’t wait to show it off. It looks fantastic!
Today was our second to last day of class. It wasn’t particularly exciting. Just a normal day. Because of the holiday weekend, we’ll be graduating on Tuesday, and I’ll drive back home on Wednesday. But I did find out some really exciting news today when I got home from class. Well, exciting for me anyway. My commander called to congratulate me on making Senior Airman Below the Zone (BTZ). So I will officially be an E-4 on July 16th, 2009. I worked really hard to get that, but it still feels a little unreal. But I do want to thank everyone for believing in me. You don’t know how much it helps.
This weekend I have no real plans besides getting a hair cut and washing my car. I’ll probably watch some fireworks on Saturday. Besides that, my four day weekend is pretty much empty.
So I’ve been in Georgia now for 4 weeks, and it is drawing to a close. I have to admit, as nice as it has been to get away, I’m ready to go back home now. Alaina is here right now visiting with me, but she will be flying back home this Tuesday. And I will once again have to endure alone until after the 4th of July. I just want to get back home and finalize all the preparations for my baby boy!
