Yesterday was a really exciting day for me! Jason has been moving for a while now, and Alaina has been able to feel him move. But try as I would, he never kicked hard enough for me to feel. But yesterday I finally felt him. It was really exciting! He is getting bigger and stronger now.
It has been a long time in coming. And a lot has certainly changed since my last blog update, to say the least. My one year anniversary is less than a month away, and I am having my first child, a baby boy, in August! A lot of exciting things are happening, so it is a perfect time to revamp my oft-ignored blog and center it around my new family. The new and improved blog will be less focused on me, and more focused on my family as a whole.
In light of these new changes, my first update will be about the baby. We found out his gender at the 20 week ultrasound. He is developing perfectly and he is already over a foot long! Alaina and I have already decided on his name – Jason Christian Bradley. Alaina is now 24 weeks along, so we are getting ever-closer to the August 11th due date. More updates will be forth-coming. Alaina and I are now officially married! It was a beautiful wedding and all the hard planning (that was still going on just minutes before it began) paid off. The reception was also a very good time for almost everyone I believe. After the reception, we stayed at the Baymont Inn, and the following day two days we bagan moving into our new home.
For our honeymoon we stayed at Alaina’s grandparents lakehouse, and man was it beautiful. I am a huge nature person, and it was so surreal. Alaina and I both enjoyed it, although we never were able to go on the lake due to the weather. But this will not be the only time we go I am sure.
It’s been two week since we were married, and I’m happy to say that all is well. We have our house almost completely setup. And it really looks nice.
So Alaina and I are back from our trip to visit my dad in California. We both had the time of our lives. We went to so many different places. One day we went to Hollywood, another day we went to Palm Springs. We went to Huntington Beach, Orange County, Santa Monica, Malibu, and Beverly Hills just to name a few. I’m pretty sure most people already know this, but the original date of October 18 for the wedding has changed. We moved up the date to Saturday, May 10. Yeah, that’s right, just a couple of weeks away now. The planning phase has kicked into hyper-speed.
This is just an FYI for everyone. While many of you know Alaina and I have been mulling over dates for the wedding ranging between August and October, what many of you probably do not know is that we have finally settled on an official date. It is going to be October 18, 2008. That happens to be a Saturday if you were wondering.
